Custom software and app development

Software that fits how your business actually runs, built by one team and handed over in your name.

We design and build the software your business depends on: customer-facing web and mobile apps, SaaS products, admin panels and internal tools, along with the cloud setup underneath them. One team takes the work from the first workshop to production, so nothing is lost between a design agency, a development shop and a hosting vendor. When it's done, the code, documentation and cloud accounts are yours.

When custom software is the right call

Buy before you build. If a well-supported product (Zoho, Shopify or a SaaS tool) does 80% of what you need, configuring it is usually faster and cheaper, and we'll tell you so. Custom software earns its cost when:

  • The process is your advantage, so a generic tool would force you to work like everyone else.
  • You're building a product to sell, not a tool to use.
  • Several systems need one interface: a customer portal over your CRM, accounts and operations data.
  • Off-the-shelf licences would cost more over three years than building and owning the software.

What we build

  • Web applications and portals

    Examples
Customer portals, partner and vendor portals, booking systems, dashboards
  • SaaS platforms

    Examples
Multi-tenant products with subscriptions, roles, billing and admin consoles
  • Mobile apps

    Examples
Android and iOS apps in Flutter or React Native, or native where a project needs it
  • Marketplaces and e-commerce

    Examples
Multi-vendor platforms, custom storefronts, Shopify apps
  • Industry systems

    Examples
Learning management, hospital management, investment and exchange platforms, event platforms
  • Admin panels and CMSs

    Examples
Back offices that let your team manage content, users and orders without a developer
  • Integrations and APIs

    Examples
Payment gateways, CRMs, ERPs, WhatsApp and third-party services

How we build

Requirements discovery

Workshops with the people who will use the software, not just the people paying for it. We document every screen, rule, role and integration in a product requirements document (PRD) in plain language. It becomes the contract between what you asked for and what we deliver. We also agree what's out of scope for the first release, so it can ship.

Solution architecture

We choose the architecture for your scale, budget and team, not for our résumé: a monolith where that's simpler, services where they earn their complexity. We design the data model, the security model (authentication, roles, audit logging) and the hosting plan at this stage, because changing them later is expensive.

UX and UI design

Clickable wireframes first, so you can react to flows while changes are cheap. Then final interface design and a component library the developers build from, so the product stays consistent as it grows.

Development in sprints

Weekly or fortnightly sprints, with a working build you can test at the end of each one. You see progress in the product, not in a status report.

API development and integrations

Clean, documented APIs for your own apps and partners, and integrations with the services you already use: Razorpay and other payment gateways, Zoho, HubSpot or Salesforce, WhatsApp Business, email and SMS providers, and accounting systems. See system integration →

Testing and deployment

Our testers check functionality, edge cases, security basics and performance. Then your team runs user acceptance testing against the PRD, and nothing goes live without your sign-off. We deploy through automated pipelines to environments for development, staging and production. See cloud and DevOps →

Documentation and handover

At launch you receive the source code in your repository, infrastructure in your cloud account, credentials, architecture and API documentation, and a runbook for common operational tasks. The next developer, ours or yours, can pick up where we left off.

Maintenance and ongoing support

Monitoring, security updates, bug fixes and new features under a support arrangement sized to your product. Many clients continue with us on a time-and-material or staff augmentation basis.

Our technology stack

  • Front end

    Technologies
React, Next.js, Angular, JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Backend and database

    Technologies
Node.js, Python, PHP with MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
  • Mobile

    Technologies
    Flutter, React Native, Android, iOS
  • Cloud

    Technologies
Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, DigitalOcean

We use proven, well-supported tools so you're never locked into a niche technology only we know.

Built to be audited

Because Orgits also runs IS audits, we build with the controls auditors look for: role-based access, multi-factor authentication for admins, audit trails on sensitive changes, encrypted data, backups that are tested, and documentation that exists before anyone asks for it. For regulated clients such as NBFCs, we design for the RBI's IT governance and outsourcing expectations from the start, including data stored in India where required.

Ways to engage

  • Fixed scope: a defined first release, billed against milestones.
  • Time and material: a dedicated team in weekly sprints, invoiced monthly, for products whose scope will evolve.
  • Staff augmentation: our developers inside your team, with a minimum six-month term and a 20-day notice period.

Frequently asked questions

[1]Who owns the code?

You do. Source code, designs, documentation and cloud accounts are handed over in your name, and we write that into the contract.

[2]How much does custom software cost?

It depends on the number of screens, roles, integrations and platforms, and on the engagement model. We give you a fixed quote for a defined first release after discovery, or a monthly team cost for time and material.

[3]How long until we have a first version?

It depends on the scope of the first release. Discovery is where we agree a first release small enough to ship and useful enough to learn from, and the plan that follows has dated milestones.

[4]Can you take over a half-built project?

Yes. We start with a code and infrastructure review, tell you honestly what's worth keeping, and quote from there.

[5]Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, before you share details. Just ask when you get in touch.

[6]What happens if a developer leaves mid-project?

Our leadership includes specialists who can step in, and we find a suitable replacement promptly, backed by a 20-day notice period so the handover happens before anyone leaves.

[7]Do you build mobile apps for both Android and iOS?

Yes, usually from one Flutter or React Native codebase, and natively where a feature or performance need requires it.
